On fire: gov. candidates answer spontaneous questions

From political standpoints to personal characteristics, there was a variety of questions during the onslaught of the rapid fire campaigning for state candidates. Wednesday morning two representatives from both the Nationalist and the Federalist parties for all state offices went head-to-head and floor-by-floor to win their title.

Faced with interrogations that reflected the office they were running for, candidates boldly stepped out of the stairwell and answered to the best of their abilities. Many questions reflected the current issues today, such as the Keystone Pipeline. Other inquiries entailed personal strengths, weaknesses, leadership experiences and knowledge of the position they were running for.

Amidst both tears and cheers, solutions to problems at hand were addressed by those running for office. Because of a time crunch, candidates faced a challenge of only being able to relay their opinions and understanding for three minutes.

There always has to be a winner and a loser, but the capabilities of the candidates was astounding. Answering an array of questions, all those who ran for state offices were brave to step outside their comfort zones and get to meet citizens and show them why they are deserving of this title.
