Hot Topics from Rapid Fire Campaign

Story by Neleigh Gehl, Claire Murphy, Noelle Josoff, Emily Day & Brianna Harrison

In our ever-changing, ever-evolving society new issues are brought to light on a daily basis. One of the key highlights of Cornhusker Girls State is for citizens to discuss these pertinent topics and form their own opinions. On Wednesday, June 7, candidates for state offices visited each floor and participated in a "rapid fire" campaign. As a candidate was brought onto a floor, they had three minutes to answer as many questions possible from the citizens of that floor. Listed below are some of the topics that were unique to this year's discussion at CGS and the rapid fire campaign.
