Social butterflies: Delegates spread their wings

Delegates are getting the chance to meet others and break barriers throughout the week. There have been multiple times in which the citizens have taken advantage of the free time allotted to socialize with their newly met friends.

Each city has shown their mutual interests by supporting each other throughout the day. Unique chants and loud applause resonate inside the assembly hall. This enthusiasm keeps the sessions lively. Also, by hearing and participating in the campaigning process, citizens have met and socialized with other citizens of other cities.

One of the main opportunities to mingle is during meal times. Seating is scattered throughout the lunchroom and all cities are dispersed through the cafeteria. The delicious food and hospitality is the perfect combination for a bonding atmosphere. Open seats are always available for the chance to welcome new people.

Girls State brings citizens out of their comfort zone. Residents will build connections that will last a lifetime. Not only are citizens being educated, they are taking advantage of the social benefits as well.
