Dressing up the rules: Citizens spice up their dress code

Within the dress code, Girls State candidates still find a way to express themselves through fashion. The basic dress code rules are: knee length bottoms, thick strapped, high cut tops and no tightly fitted clothing. Despite the dress code, delegates are still finding ways to have fun with their clothes.

Citizens mainly wear khaki or black pants, but some have done differently. To spice up their apparel girls have been seen wearing:
            -Wild printed pants
            -Colored jeans
            -Maxi Skirts and dresses
            -Scarves
            -Jewelry (especially earrings)
            -Toms canvas shoes
            -Gladiator Sandals
            -Cowboy boots
            -Sperry’s
            -Ruffled tops
